Trading in Our Colder Temps...

...for a little fun in the sun!! 


We head out later this week for our first cruise! I'm nervous, I'm excited, I'm worried, I'm hopeful....I'm all over the place! What I'm looking forward to more than anything else is making memories together. It's our first big trip with Levi, and I'm praying it's all smooth sailing! See what I did there? ha ha ha

Friday Favorites - My Baby is TWO!

This has been a very big week for our family! Despite my protests, my baby boy went and turned TWO, which officially makes him no longer my baby boy. Aaaaahhhhh! I know I will want to remember all the special little details of this week, so I'm linking up with Narci , Andrea and Erika today for Friday Favorites. If you're new here, hi! So glad you stopped by! We're having a family party tomorrow to celebrate Levi's second birthday, and while I STILL can't commit to the cake, ugh, everything else is coming together very nicely. He's going to love it, which is the best part. Yesterday was his big day and it was a such a good one! We got a birthday donut and then went to Story Time...where everyone sang to him and he didn't really know what to do, but I think he liked it! Such a fun day! Of course I took a million pictures so I'm going to put them all in a separate post highlighting his special day. Here are my favorites:  look how excited he is...

Ten on Ten :: June 2017

We are heading to the finish line, maybe limping a bit. ;)  Ten more days of school. I'm sure there's so much valuable learning going on right now. We had a really busy but fun weekend, and the weather got hot hot hot so when we've been home, it has been out back in the pool. I'm looking forward to some fun pool parties this summer.  Saturday was the 10th, and someone was not terribly thrilled to have to stop and have his diaper changed before heading downstairs for breakfast. #roughlife Since it was Saturday, the day began the way 99.9% of all Saturdays begin: Daddy makes waffles. Perfection. Big changes were about to happen for him and me. Big. I knew this would be the very last time to snap some pictures of him playing in his crib tucked in the nook of our bedroom, so we played in here together for a long while and I savored every moment. Friday Favorites... Spring is FINALLY here!!

The birds are chirping happily as I write this, and it rained a little overnight, so that heavy but sweet spring rain smell is everywhere.... I LOVE it! The buds on the trees are fiiinally popping open and some of our flowers are beginning to bloom. Ah Spring, you are a show off for sure, and I adore you. And it's Friday! Hooray! The week back after vacation always feels a little, well, something different, right? But it's been a good, good week. Here are some FAVORITES!! This technically is from last week, and I already wrote about this, but I'm sharing again because dolphins. I seriously LOVE dolphins! Plus, all week we've been reliving our best moments of the trip together... there's a recap post here and here . I'm planning on writing a more detailed list for anyone who is interested in things like maximizing storage space in tiny cabins and traveling with teens, tweens, and toddlers.
