...for a little fun in the sun!! 


We head out later this week for our first cruise! I'm nervous, I'm excited, I'm worried, I'm hopeful....I'm all over the place! What I'm looking forward to more than anything else is making memories together. It's our first big trip with Levi, and I'm praying it's all smooth sailing! See what I did there? ha ha ha

How to Make a Mini Birthday Crown

We celebrated a first birthday here not too long ago, and it was just the BEST day. I wrote a detailed post about it here if you'd like to read more.  The party was mostly a giant DIY effort, and I love how everything turned out, especially this little birthday crown. So I thought I'd share the instructions for how to make one of your own. I should mention that for me, personally, this crown is more like a cute prop and was not intended to be saved along with other cherished baby things. I just wanted some nice pictures of our little birthday boy wearing a little crown, that's all. I'll probably be throwing it out in the near future, actually. Friday Favorites - My Baby is TWO!

This has been a very big week for our family! Despite my protests, my baby boy went and turned TWO, which officially makes him no longer my baby boy. Aaaaahhhhh! I know I will want to remember all the special little details of this week, so I'm linking up with Narci , Andrea and Erika today for Friday Favorites. If you're new here, hi! So glad you stopped by! We're having a family party tomorrow to celebrate Levi's second birthday, and while I STILL can't commit to the cake, ugh, everything else is coming together very nicely. He's going to love it, which is the best part. Yesterday was his big day and it was a such a good one! We got a birthday donut and then went to Story Time...where everyone sang to him and he didn't really know what to do, but I think he liked it! Such a fun day! Of course I took a million pictures so I'm going to put them all in a separate post highlighting his special day. Here are my favorites:  look how excited he is...

Ten on Ten :: September 2017

I just realized I never wrote about Labor Day weekend or our anniversary, so things may be a bit out of order this week. Just like real life, ha ha. Yesterday was 9/11. I still remember driving out to my friend's house with Ethan, barely two years old, and Jonah, who had just just turned six months old six days before. I'd been listening to Veggie Tales in the car and hadn't heard a thing, so Trisha filled me in, though none of us really had any idea what truly had happened at this point. I was surprised to see Bill's car in the driveway- we were staying in my parent's empty house while ours was being built- when I got home. All the government agencies were letting everyone off from work, and he is close to Boston, and they feared Boston would be a target. We ended up bringing the boys to a local farm and bought pumpkins and apples. It was all very surreal.
